As an author, I think it’s easy to be blinded by our writing and to get stuck in an endless loop of ‘what if it’s not good enough’ or ‘what if I’m not telling the story well?’
But as an editor, I’m here to help you break that cycle. To see the heart behind your story and help you bring it out in a way that will make readers laugh or cry, smile or reach for the tissues - whatever your goal is, I want to help you reach it. To help you capture a reader’s heart so that they’ll love your story and your characters as much as you do.
I offer a few different types of edits, so you can find whatever works best for you and your manuscript! I like to do a thirty-minute consultation call, that way I get to know you, your story, and what you’re looking for :) Once we’ve had a chance to chat, we can move forward with what sort of edits you’re looking for and getting things scheduled :)
Manuscript Assessment
A overview of the plot and characters, digging into the pieces that aren’t working as well as they could be and a chance to see the parts that are flowing and doing exactly what we want them to! This is a good place to bring a manuscript that’s newer or only had a few sets of eyes on it. We’ll build up the plot, characters, and world, make sure there aren’t any plot holes, and really strengthen your story.

Liine Edits
A read-through to make sure that everything is sounding smooth and makes sense. Really digging into dialogue to make sure it sounds natural and flows well. Finding areas to show instead of tell and drawing out the prose of the story to really make the character voice shine. This is good for stories that have already gone through a few manuscript assessments. We’re not looking for plot or character development at this stage, just adding depth to what’s already there.

Proof Read
A final read-through to find any misspelled words, grammar mistakes, or formatting problems before you submit your manuscript to agents, publishers, or self-publishing platforms. This is the last stage, after line edits have been completed. A final check for typos before you take the next step into publishing your novel.
